This artwork began with the Ella Wheeler Wilcox quote: A weed is but an unloved flower. As I searched Google Images, I found dandelions with the saying, Some see a weed. Others see a wish. Liking the whimsical saying, I tweaked it a tad into some see a weed, others see a wish on the breeze - which fit the iconic image of dandelion seeds taking flight. As a gardening artist, the plant cycle of life came to mind which consists of a seed germinating, producing a plant which blooms and goes to seed to reproduce again. Thus a Wish of life, taking flight, on a breeze came into it's own in word and art.
WHO AM I? I am a Christian artist from Minnesota. I have been happily married to a great guy named Tim for 40+ years who wholly supports my art. The Lord has blessed us with three sons, three daughter-in-laws, and a baker's dozen of grandchildren. My art studio is in my home and my front garden. My work consists of acrylic on canvas, photography, and digital art. A Prophetic Artist is inspired and lead by the Holy Spirit from start to finish. I firmly believe that the art holds a message from God's heart to yours as interpreted by the Spirit. My art is an act of worship, praise, and obedience to Jesus Christ, my Lord and King.
