The Bible talks about God refining His children through trials and suffering that proves the genuineness of one's faith. This painting went through a process of refinement as well including multiple paint layers, a covering, a dousing, and the final top layer of paint which is how the tie-dye effect was achieved on a 2'x4' canvas.
