Being an avid flower gardener, the changing of seasons of this painting was very evident to me upon completion. The flower looked like an autumn mum that was suddenly covered with a hard, unexpected frost. It was then that the Lord explained to me that the flower represents people and the frost symbolizes His Coming. Many people will be taken by surprise when He returns just as the flower was with the frost. The painting is like a contemporary parable. Can't you just imagine sitting at Jesus' feet and listening to Him tell the story of THE FLOWER AND THE FROST and advising you to always be ready for His return?

WHO AM I? I am a Christian artist from Minnesota. I have been happily married to a great guy named Tim for 40+ years who wholly supports my art. The Lord has blessed us with three sons, three daughter-in-laws, and a baker's dozen of grandchildren. My art studio is in my home and my front garden.
