On October 27th, this piece began as a photographed rural sunset on the edge of town. It was transformed by the guiding hand of the Holy Spirit through multiple digital layers. The bold hues and textured composition pulled me in as if it was hand painted, but a title escaped me until one evening when the words, AWAKEN THE DAWN, popped in my mind as I studied this piece. As I am a Psalms blogger, I knew immediately that the title came from God's Word, Psalm 57 to be specific.
My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul. Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn!
WHO AM I? I am a Christian artist from Minnesota. I have been happily married to a great guy named Tim for 40+ years who wholly supports my art. The Lord has blessed us with three sons, three daughter-in-laws, and a baker's dozen of grandchildren. My art studio is in my home and my front garden. My work consists of acrylic on canvas, photography, and digital art. A Prophetic Artist is inspired and lead by the Holy Spirit from start to finish. I firmly believe that the art holds a message from God's heart to yours as interpreted by the Spirit. My art is an act of worship, praise, and obedience to Jesus Christ, my Lord and King.
