WHO AM I?
I am a Christian artist from Minnesota, female by gender and 52 by years. My once blonde hair has given way to streaks of gray. My studio is in my home and the great expanse of nature which the Creator has given us so graciously and freely to enjoy. I work in acrylic on canvas, photography, and most recently digital art. I've always been creative and enjoyed art and crafts but in 2009, I was called by the Lord to paint for Him much like a pastor is called to preach God's Word or a missionary is sent to spread the gospel. The difference is that my ministry consists of visual arts that convey God's love to the world. Or to put it more simply, “It’s all about His love.”
I am a Prophetic artist, as well, which means that all the art is inspired and lead by the Holy Spirit from start to finish. I firmly believe that the art holds a message from God's heart to yours as interpreted by the Spirit. The visual art is an act of worship, praise, and obedience to Jesus Christ, my Lord and King. I pray that the art will glorify Him and be a blessing to you! Within the art galleries, you will find acrylic abstract paintings, mixed media, digital art, Scripture art, and photography. Please check back often as I am adding new art weekly.
I have been married for 32 years to a great guy named Tim, who supports my art. The Lord has blessed us with three sons, two daughter-in-laws, and six grandchildren with the seventh on the way!
WHY S7EEN ART?
As far back as I can remember, I've always signed my art as "Steen," which is a family nickname for Christine. When Jesus called me to paint for Him, He changed my nickname from cursive to print all caps and replaced the "t" with the number seven: S7EEN. He also added a cross to the heart that I include in my artist signature. I'm trying to figure out how to make a S7EEN logo as described with a transparent background so that my artist signature is consistent. At the moment, you'll find my art signed as Steen, S7EEN, and Christine Nichols with the year posted. Christine is reserved for the ageless, dignified pieces, while S7EEN is used for modern contemporary. I suppose you could say that at 52, I'm still trying to find myself, but how happy I am to be found by Christ Jesus! It is in Him that my true identity lies.
HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN
As an Evangelical Christian, I believe my work in life is to tell others of God's love and plan of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ - the Messiah (also known as Yeshua Ha’Mashiach) for all humankind, and to encourage the saints, which is a Scriptural name for faithful followers of our Lord and Savior. If you are not a Christian but are interested in learning how to become a child of God,
READ GOD'S WORD and Walk the "Romans Road" to Salvation . . . .
• Because of our sin, we are separated from God. ...
• The Penalty for our sin is death. ...
• The penalty for our sin was paid by Jesus Christ! ...
• If we repent of our sin, then confess and trust Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we will be saved from our sins!
Romans is a New Testament book in the Bible where Paul, a missionary to the Gentiles (non-Jewish) outlines the basics of our Christian faith. Romans 10:9-13 tells us that “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
